In Heroku

Unless specified in a support server announcement, you do not need to do anything. Thanks to the pull app, you will always be up-to-date.

In your VPS

You have to run the following commands when there is a new release.

git pull
npm run build
pm2 restart modmail

How can I configure who can see the created threads?

Just edit the permissions of the ModMail category and allow the role or users you like to view channels and to send messages.
